On Thursday, June 29, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, hosted President Tinubu, Akinwunmi Ambode, and Babatunde Fashola at the Lagos State House, Marina.
Both Akinwunmi Ambode and Babatunde Fashola were former Governors of Lagos State.
Ambode served as the Lagos state Governor from 2015-2019, while Babatunde Raji Fashola was Governor from 2007-2015.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed them all to the Lagos state house in Marina. In his speech to President Tinubu, he commended the President on his achievements so far since he was sworn in.
He said that Tinubu's renewed hope promise is beginning to manifest.
Sanwo-Olu said that Tinubu has finally earned his position as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He further stated that he is proud of the President.
He further assured President Tinubu that Lagosians stand firmly in solidarity with his leadership, "Lagos is standing right behind you…we stand in solidarity with your leadership."

Present at the event were the President’s wife, Oluremi; Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Sanwo-Olu's colleagues from the Nigeria Governors Forum, government functionaries, leadership of the National Assembly, and members of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
