Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a plan to adopt a work-from-home program for civil servants across the state.
Sanwo-Olu revealed this during an interview on Thursday. To cushion the effect of the economic hardship, the State also unveiled plans to subsidize the cost of transportation by 25% for government-owned transport schemes including the BRT, train, and ferry.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu said civil servants from level 1 to level 14 will come to work only three days a week while level 15 to level 17 will miss work for a day. He also revealed plans to have Sunday markets in 42 identified markets where people can buy food items at discounted rates.
Sanwo-Olu also announced free delivery, normal or Cesarean section, for all pregnant women in all state hospitals and price reductions on medications.
