Saying poor people shouldn't have children is extreme elitism, Filmmaker Imoh Umoren
Nigerian filmmaker Imoh Umoren is trending over his tweet on the X platform where he said poor people shouldn't be shamed for having children. He said that anyone who believes that poor people shouldn't be allowed to have children is practicing extreme elitism. Wondering what that meant? Elitism is the belief system that a society should be ruled by only the elite whereby the poor has little to no say in the society.
According to him, poor people are been blamed for bringing forth kids to this world, which isn't supposed to be so. His opinion was countered by another X user who said he regrets being born by his parents because he is poor, and he wouldn't want to have kids due to that.
Imoh Umoren claimed that the number of immigrants needed in Europe keeps increasing every day due to their declining population which rose from their refusal to have kids. If other races decide not to have kids because they are poor, who would fill the vacant positions in the respective country?
Imoh Umoren is a Nigerian filmmaker, director, producer, and writer who was born on the 13th of August, 1982. He is famous for directing a movie known as Children of Mud in 2017.
