Security guard arrested for killing former employer in Port Harcourt
A private security guard had been arrested for killing his former employer in Port Harcourt.
This man has been identified as John Danjuma. He allegedly butchered his former boss who has been identified as Boma Jumbo.
He killed her at her residence in GRA in Port Harcourt. This incident happened on Tuesday.
The employer, Boma Jumbo was the former Director of Administrator at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
The culprit was arrested and faced trial for stealing $10,000 from this woman.
He denied stealing this money and he was then granted bail. They also adjourned the case.
During the investigation regarding her death, he explained in a video that there had been a misunderstanding with this woman. This was during the investigation at the State Criminal and Investigation Department in Port Harcourt.
He said he visited her residence and destroyed the kitchen to enter the building.
He visited her house the morning she was to testify against him.
He took a machete and waited till later before he attacked her and killed her. He left her in a pool of blood and proceeded to steal jewelry.
While he was trying to escape, the neighbors caught him after they saw he had blood stains on his shirt.
He was interrogated and he then confessed to this crime. He says the woman had accused him of stealing $10, 000 when he didn't.
This case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further actions.
