SThe Serie A shared images of Lazar Samardžić, Raoul Bellanova, Giovanni Simeone, Alessandro Vogliacco, Leandro Paredes, Federico Baschirotto and Bremer as they passed the message.

These aforementioned player were snapped alongside their partners as they took images with red marks on their right cheeks.

Each of these players represented some of the top clubs in the Italian top-flight and the clubs were also tagged in the images shared.

The message on the official account of the Italian top-flight league was simple as it depicted no tolerance for violence against women.

The Serie A also captioned the series of images shared saying: “Yesterday. Today. Always” with hashtag #UNROSSOALLAVIOLENZA.

The hashtag “#UNROSSOALLAVIOLENZA” which was used by the Serie A means “A Red To Violence” when translated to English.

This means that the Italian top flight will seemingly work tooth and nail to ensure violence against women doesn’t happen under their watch.

This also shows that the Italian league was against any form of violence against women on social media as they would in real life.

To ensure their message was passed, all matches scheduled this weekend will be colored red: the symbol of the #unrossoallaviolenza campaign.

Serie A took this initiative on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women observed across the world.

As the case has been in the Serie A for some years, the players and referees will take to the pitch with a red mark on their faces and the captains of all the teams will wear the armband symbolizing the day.

Such violence is frequently regarded as a sort of hate crime, perpetrated against women or girls just because they are female, and can take different forms.

VAW has a lengthy history, yet the frequency and level of such violence have changed over time and continue to vary between civilizations.

Such violence is frequently viewed as a means of controlling women, whether in society as a whole or an interpersonal relationship.

Such violence may result from the perpetrator's sense of entitlement, superiority, misogyny, or similar sentiments, as well as his violent behavior, especially toward women.
