Popular Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has revealed how much she dislikes when younger people call her by her name. She expressed her displeasure when people who are age mates with her children dare to call her shaffy. She believes such people haven't earned the right to call her Shaffy. She was speaking about her experiences during a recent interview when she shared this.

Shaffy Bello is a famous Nollywood actress. She is 60 years old and she has 2 children. She is famously known for her roles in movies like battleground, big love, the black book, lara and the beat, head over bills and Chief daddy. She was speaking during a recent episode of The Me, Her And Everything Else podcast when she shared that she doesn't like young people calling her by her name. She prefers to be called Ma'am.

The interviewer had asked her if she had ever been called by her first name by younger people and she responded saying she has. She revealed that she understands the different cultures around the world and the various ways people were brought up. She then added that those who have greeted her by her name, she simply drew them close and told them they haven't earned it.

In her words "Of course I still get it, I get the 'Hi Shaffy' and usually for me I know that upbringing matters and I also know that where you're from also dictates some of the things that you do. For example, the Igbos don't do that, they use 'aunty' and it's so interesting to me because even in the States, they will never call their aunties by name, they go 'aunty, cousin.' They do the 'ma'am.'...Usually my response is simple and I say it with love, I pull them close and I tell them 'you haven't earned the right to call me by my name, I have a child as old as you are. Even if I didn't have children you haven't earned the right , and you would never earn the right at your age to call me my name,'"
