Many Nigerians have not been following the Nigerian Professional Football League as it has not been shown on the terrestrial channels for a long time.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020/21 season resumed on December 27, 2020, after the 2019/20 season was cancelled.
This prompted a question from a Twiter user who asked the League Management Company (LMC) boss, Shehu Dikko if the Nigerian League has a transfer window.
The LMC chairman who is also a Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said Nigeria is using the FIFA TMS Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS), which make them to be part of the regular transfer window.
"FIFA TMS announced today that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is the first Member Association (MA) in Africa to implement the FIFA TMS Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS). The DTMS online platform, which includes league access, will allow the NFF and the NPFL."
What this means is that some clubs might lose their important players that might go abroad for trials especially in Europe.
