The cause of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has finally been revealed following an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
According to the report submitted, samples of the singer's blood, bone marrow, gastric content, liver, kidney, and lungs were taken for a toxicology test. The test revealed that Mohbad had an injury on his right forearm. It also showed that his body was exhumed with moderate to severe decomposition of organs.
The test revealed the singer consumed Diphenhydramine, a certain kind of antihistamine, an allergy drug used to treat various conditions like colds, stomach upset, etc. While the cause of Mohbad's death cannot be ascertained, there is a possibility that the singer died of a drug reaction. Apart from the injury on his forearm and the drugs he took, no significant finding could be linked to his death.
