American singer Cassandra Ventura popularly known as Cassie has filed a $30M lawsuit against rapper Sean Diddy Combs of rape and sexual abuse.
Cassie and Diddy dated for more than ten years and in the course of their relationship, Cassie revealed that Diddy was violent. She tried to leave the relationship but Sean Diddy used every connection he had to keep her there.
Diddy signed Cassie to his record label Bad Boy Records when she was only 19 and she quickly rose to fame. Seeing how young and naive she was at the time, this marked the beginning of their relationship and Diddy enticed Cassie with the lavish lifestyle, money, drugs and parties. In a bid to secure her career, she had to give in to his advances.
She said Diddy assaulted and raped her multiple times before they finally broke up in 2018.
Cassie revealed that Diddy forced her to have sexual relations with other men which he recorded. She also said she was drugged before and during the acts.
She expressed that she's finally ready to tell her story to the world and speak on behalf of other women who have faced domestic violence and assault in their relationships.
However, Diddy's representatives have denied the claims laid by Cassie saying it is a tactic employed by Cassie to tarnish Sean Diddy's image and make money. It was also reported that a lawyer offered Cassie millions of dollars to prevent her from filing the lawsuit but she rejected it outrightly.
