The self-acclaimed Obapluto as he is fondly called, announced this via his X, formerly Twitter page yesterday.
Amidst the conversations surrounding the Afrobeats genre and several artists carving a genre for themselves, the young artist has declared his genre as Afropluto.
Recall that artists like Rema, Burna Boy and Ckay declared their respective music genres to the world recently.
Burna Boy said he sings Afro-fusion, Rema said his sound is Afro-rave, and Ckay described his sound as Emo-Afrobeats.
This has since generated several reactions online among music enthusiasts who said artists are gradually dissociating from Afrobeats.
