The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Kaduna Command has sentenced Crown Uzama popularly known as Shallipopi alongside five others to two years in prison for internet fraud.

They were first arrested by the EFCC weeks ago at a show in Kaduna and they have been in their custody since then.

The defendants all pleaded guilty to the charges against them. They were guilty of impersonation and used fake identities to dupe victims.

The TikTok celebrity was convicted alongside Bethel Makuochukwu, John Joseph, Favour Chidiogo Emmanuel, Abdulazeez Suleiman Temidayo and Joel Kator.

The presiding judge, Justice Isiaka sentenced them all with an option of fines as well as the forfeiture of all electronic gadgets, furniture and other items taken from them to the FG.
