Mason Greenwood may return to Manchester United after his recent travails with the club.

Manchester United new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, in a recent press interview, opened up on his would-be decision on Mason Greenwood.

According to him, he would rather assess the fact of the situation devoid of the hype and sentiments that unfurl in its aftermath.

Directly addressing question on Mason Greenwood's Manchester United return Sir Jim Ratcliffe said;

"It's a new decision to make for us. He's Man United player".

"We need to look at facts, judge fairly and take into consideration what the values of the club are".

"Then we come out of that with a decision on Greenwood".

''He is Man United Player" - Sir Jim Ratcliffe Confirms Plan on Mason Greenwood

There has been a strong suggestion that Mason Greenwood will not return to Manchester United again after the club decided to part ways with the player on a loan after inquest into his assault and rape scandal.

Greenwood last played for Manchester United in 2022 and was exiled from the club following his arrest by the police for the said allegations.

Charges against him were dropped but United refused to integrate him into the squad pending internal enquiry into the incident.

Under former Man United CEO, Richard Arnold, United issued a statement absolving Greenwood of any wrongdoing but said the club would resettle him for a career restart away from Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old was loaned to Getafe late last summer in the final hours of the transfer window.

Despite his 18-month exile, the English winger has gotten off the mark and has been on a stellar run for Getafe. However, the doors to his return to Manchester United was reportedly closed with the club ready to sell him at the end of this season.

Now, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to give a second thought to Greenwood saga and is open to having him return to club with a plan to reexamine the case.
