Arsenal are not slowing down in the race for the Premier League title as they whitewashed relegation battlers Sheffield United 6-0 at Bramall Lane to close up the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Hatters' shaky defense could not withstand the energy of Arsenal's young guns. In a flash, the Gunners' firing arsenal had already put the Hatters to sword in less than 6 minutes.

Martin Odegaard opened the scoring as the visitors got off to a flier in the 5th minute. Left unmarked in the Sheffield United area, Odegaard tucked home Declan Rice's pass from close range to give Arsenal the lead.

Eight minutes after Odegaard's opener, Bukayo Saka sped down the right after having the ball before crossing into the box where Bogle mistakenly poked it into his net to double the lead for the Gunners.

Two minutes after Bogle's own goal, Arsenal struck again to extend the lead. Odegaard had found Gabriel Martinelli after Arsenal counter. The winger then played a one-two with Jakub Kiwior before firing on goal. The ball deflected off Sheffield United defender to wrongfoot their goalkeeper Grbic and loop into the net.

In the 25th minute, Arsenal leveraged on another counter again to put the Hatters to the sword with the fourth goal. After picking a pass from Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz advanced into the box before firing a rocket pass Grbic into the bottom corner to make it 4-0.

Despite going four goals up, Arsenal were not done. Bukayo Saka created the chance for the fifth goal after he broke on a pacey run down the right and then crossed for Declan Rice to stroke in with a first-time finish.

At the break, Arsenal exercised an unrivaled dominance over the hosts, steamrollering into an emphatic 5-0 lead.

Unlike the first half, Sheffield United patched up their errors and defensive blunders and were finally able to contain the Gunners.

Nevertheless, Arsenal still found a way through to add another to the scoresheet with Ben White firing Kai Havertz's pass into the bottom-right corner to make it 6-0.

The game ended with the Gunners easing to a deserved 6-0 victory at the blast of the final whistle. The win has seen the Gunners stay abreast in the race for the Premier League title.
