Six policemen arrested for assaulting 2 people
Some policemen who were 6 in number have been arrested for assaulting 2 suspects suspects some other crimes.
It was the Imo State Police Command who made the arrest and these were their own policemen
The crimes were over improper dressing, assault, unprofessional conduct.
The arrest was made after a video recording of the incident was released. The video showed how these men assaulted these people who they believed are students of the University in Owerri, Imo State.
This information was released in a press statement by the Police Command.
They mentioned how they saw one of the policemen men, Inspector Sunday Amadi using a cutlass while he tried to apprehend them
They revealed the investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
They have also urged people to remain calm.. he will communicate the disciplinary actions that will be taken against these officers.
