Six-storey building collapses in US, 5 declared missing.

A Six-storey building has collapsed in the United States and 5 people are reported to be missing. This building is located in Davenport in the United States.

A part of this building collapsed on Sunday evening and it was reported to officials who responded.

They began rescue efforts to pull out survivors from the ruins of the building.

They are unable to locate the whereabouts of these 5 people after these rescue efforts were made.

Chief Michael Carlsten of the Davenport Fire Department revealed that when the rescue began, 7 people were rescued within the first hour. He mentioned this on Tuesday at a news conference. on Tuesday.

They discovered another person during the second search and another person when they searched again on Monday.

The Mayor, Mike Matson had then revealed that 5 people are still missing. This was as of Tuesday morning.

They revealed two are still in the building but the whereabouts of 3 are not known.

So far, there are no reports of fatalities. The officers are still investigating the cause of the collapse.

They expressed their desire to evacuate everyone but are also assessing if they need to demolish the building safely.

People have begun to protest about the demolition of the building before everyone who is missing is found.

The officials revealed the building would collapse at any time so they are trying to keep their workers who are responding to the emergency safe.

The director of development and neighborhood services, Rich Oswald, had also revealed on Tuesday that a structural engineer had shown the city a report in January and even last week saying the building was sound structurally.
