Soldier shows displeasure over arrest of his colleague by Gov. Sanwo-Olu
A Nigerian soldier serving in the Northeast has expressed his displeasure towards the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for arresting his colleague who broke traffic rules. This soldier whose TikTok handle is General Salawu scolded Governor Sanwo-Olu for arresting his colleague. He was pissed at how the Lagos State Governor had called his colleague a useless fellow. He said the Soldier who was arrested was fired in the arm in the Northeast while discharging his duty and the arm was replaced with an iron. Hence, the Governor has no right to order him around.
Seeing the DSS rough handle the soldier pissed General Salawu and he said, "You dey call a Soldier a fool in front of who? In front of all those bloody civilians?" He added that the DSS had no right whatsoever to lay their hands on a Soldier unless it was the military Police. He also scolded his colleague for allowing Governor Sanwo-Olu to speak to him anyhow instead of standing up for himself. He called out Governor Sanwo-Olu and claimed he constituted a nuisance by ordering the DSS to chase down those who were riding their bikes on one-way. General Salawu further said the citizens would blame Sanwo-Olu if the bike men he was chasing had lost control and gotten injured.
He also said the Governor and Lagosians are enjoying because Lagos is a peaceful city. According to him, if Lagos was being intruded like the North, the Governor wouldn't have dared order a Soldier around talkless of arresting him
