Stage collapses during inauguration of Kano gov-elect
During the inauguration of the Kano Governor-elect yesterday, the stage collapsed.
Abba Kabir Yusuf Is the newly inaugurated Governor of Kano state. During the swearing-in ceremony yesterday, a large crowd flocked the place resulting in this.
The large crowd of people were reportedly hanging on the pillars of the stage and caused the collapse.
Abba Kabir Yusuf contested under the umbrella of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP and won the governorship elections
Those on the stage included the Governor himself, the deputy governor and the acting chief judge. Thankfully, all of them are safe and fine.
The incident had happened when the Governor was making his speech. This was after he had been sworn in.
