Stop packing innocent people, no be everybody be Yahoo, Portable warns EFCC
Nigerian singer Portable warned the agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission against arresting innocent people and accusing them of being fraudsters. He said that the EFCC is now fond of arresting just anyone who appears to be doing well for themselves and charging them with offenses they didn't commit. The singer mentioned how the EFCC randomly raid student hostels and arrests innocent people just because they are using big phones. He added that not everyone who is doing well for his or herself is a fraudster so the EFCC should be careful with how they arrest innocent people.
"Shey na everybody dey do Yahoo? Is it everyone that is doing Yahoo? Some people no get Yahoo for their phone. What they do is borrow money. So because people get big phone. You go think say na Yahoo Dem dey do. Meanwhile, they are busy hustling for their next meal. They've mixed things up and started packing innocent people. And it's not everyone who dresses well that does Yahoo. But they've started packing everybody o. So how do we diffrentiate between the innocent people and the guilty ones?"
