Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi professionally known as Portable has told his fellow artists to stop promoting South Africa's Amapiano sound because it isn't their own.
The Zazuu crooner who was previously spotted with his role model Wizkid in London over the weekend, stated in a video that Nigerian artists should start promoting their genre - Afrobeats and leave Amapiano alone.
Airing his opinion about the just concluded Grammy Awards, Portable said it's unlikely that Nigerian artists expected to win an award when they neglected their sound to embrace a foreign one. He urged Nigerian artists to value their genre above every other one and promote it endlessly.
