Suspect in Tupac 1996 shooting finally arrested
A suspect in the 1996 Tupac shooting has finally been arrested. This suspect was arrested by the Las Vegas police recently. The suspect was arrested in connection with the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur which was many years ago (almost 30 years)
The suspect, been identified as Duane “Keffe D” Davis. He arrested early on Friday morning, September 29, 2023. He had admitted during an interview that he was in the Cadillac where the gunfire had been shot the day Tupac died. Recall Tupac was killed in September 1996 in a drive-by shooting.
The police had earlier raided the home of his wife in July before they eventually arrested him this September. The police were looking for items which were "concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur.”
Recall Tupac passed away on the 7th of September, 1996. He had been in a BMW driven in a convoy of about 10 cars when suddenly, a white Cadillac pulled up next to them at the red lights and shot at Tupac.
They had seized a cellphone,.computers, a hard drive as well as a copy of Davis’ 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend.” during the raid. In this book, he revealed that he had spoken up about Tupac’s killing in 2010 but this had been during a closed-door meeting with federal and local authorities.
He stated “They promised they would shred the indictment and stop the grand jury if I helped them out,” He revealed that he is one of the last living witnesses to the shooting.
