Suspect in Tupac's death pleads not guilty of the crime

The prime suspect in the shooting of the late American rapper Tupac has pleaded not guilty of the crime. The suspect's name is Duane Keefe D Davis. He is a 60-year-old man who was arrested some months back for shooting Tupac. He is a member of a gang named South Side Compton Crips. The gang is based in California. After his arrest, he was charged with first-degree murder.

Recall Tupac was killed in 1996. He was just 25 years old at the time. His full name is Tupac Amaru Shakur, and he was a famous rapper. He was known as 2Pac and Makaveli. He was a very successful rapper who sold more than 75 million records around the world. He was born on the 16th of June 1971 in New York, United States and died on the 13th of September 1996 at the University Medical Center, in Las Vegas.

Recall Kefee Davis was charged to court in September 2023. They believe the shooting and killing of Tuoac was a revenge scheme because Tupac had gotten into an ugly fight with his nephew whose name Orlando Anderson, in a casino in Las Vegas. The police believe it was a retaliation on Tupac.

Recall Tupac died 6 days after he was shot. He passed away in the hospital. He had been shot in his car when a white Cadillac pulled up next to them and shot Tupac Shakur. The court hearing was held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Las Vegas. It was here Kefee Davis pleaded not guilty after the District Judge, Tierra Jones had asked him for his plea.

Steve Wolfson, who is the Clark County District Attorney, spoke after the hearing saying the case didn't require a death penalty to be sought for. He stated that they are working on presenting evidence to a jury who will make the final decision on the matter.
