Suspected Gunmen kill 9 people in Plateau State
Some suspected gunmen have killed 9 people in Plateau State recently. These gunmen attacked a comunity known as Sabon Gari community. This is located in Mangu Local Government Area.
Apart from the killings, these gunmen also burnt down 6 houses in the state.
It was one of the community leaders, Mr Jerry Datim, who revealed this today, Sunday in Jos.
He revealed that this attack happened yesterday, Saturday night.
He revealed that these gunmen attacked his village and burnt many houses and destroyed other properties. He said they have been able to recover 9 bodies.
He revealed that they are still searching for more because some people are missing from the community.
He went ahead to praise the officers of a local security unit known as Operation Rainbow for responding quickly.
He revealed that the residents of the community haven't fled the community but decided to stay back to defend their land.
