Suspected Gunmen shoot businessman dead in Bauchi state
Some suspected gunmen have shot a businessman to death in Bauchi State recently.
The victim who was a businessman has been identified as Chinonso Ugwu. This man is a resident of Balele village which is located in the Ningi Local Government Area of the state
A resident in that same village was the one who revealed that these gunmen came to the village on Tuesday. He shared this with some newsmen yesterday, Thursday.
He shared that they came to the village at around 1.30am on Tuesday and they started shooting just anyhow.
He says these men had gone to the house of this victim and shot him in the stomach many times and also his head till he died.
He shared that other villagers could not rescue him out of fear.
It was the next morning that people came to his rescue and rushed him to the hospital. They took him to the hospital alongside some policemen.
The medical doctors confirmed him dead as soon as they got to the hospital at the Burra General Hospital
Lawan Muhammad who is yhe Deputy Caretaker Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area, was the one who confirmed this News.
He says that as soon as he got the repot of this incident he called on some policemen and soldiers to come to the village to intervene and protect the people.
They revealed that these gunmen knocked on the door of the victim many times but he didn't open up. They then shot at the door and these bullets hit him because he stood by the door.
