Suspected killers of Naval officer paraded in Ondo state


The Police command in Ondo state have paraded the suspected killers of the Naval Officer who was murdered in Ondo state recently.

They paraded 3 mine who are suspects. They killed a naval officers who has been identified as Naval Sub-Lieutenant Samuel Ayomide Akingbohunmi.

These men confessed to these crimes. They used an iron rod to hit him on his head and private part.

These 3 suspects have been identified as:

  1. Johnson Adeleke who is 20 yesrs old
  2. Sambo Ayomide who is also 20 years old
  3. Shagari Francis who is a 17 year old boy.

The man who was killed was an officer attached to Navy Secondary School in Imeri. There had been a minor altercation which led to his death.

They explained that the had begun over the matter of right of way and people around were able to settle the matter but these thugs had followed this man to a junction where They attacked him and beat him with an iron rod.

After the ganged up and beat him, they tried to escape but were apprehended by community leaders and they handed them over to the security agents.

One of the suspects said the navy officer had assaulted one of his friends and they followed him and challenged him.

They were able to overpowered him because they were more. They all shifted the blames to one another on who had hit him with the iron rod.

Funmi Odunlami who is thePolice Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ondo state mentioned that they were able to arrest these boys through joint effort.

They revealed that they are still searching for the okada man who drove them to the place where they had attacked this officer.

She also revealed that they will soon arraign then in court.
