SUSPENSION OF TRADING FOR NON-FILING OF AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Trading License Holders and the investing public are hereby notified that pursuant to Rule 3.1, Rules for Filing of Accounts and Treatment of Default Filing (Default Filing Rules), the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX or The Exchange) has suspended trading in the shares of the following eight (8) companies effective today, Monday, 8 July 2024, for failing to file their Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2023:
1. C & I Leasing Plc
2. Guinea Insurance Plc
3. Lasaco Assurance Plc
4. Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc
5. NPF Microfinance Bank Plc
6. Regency Alliance Insurance Plc
7. Secure Electronic Technology Plc
8. Unity Bank Plc
As per the Default Filing Rules:
- The Exchange will send a “Second Filing Deficiency Notification” to each Issuer within two (2) business days after the end of the Cure Period.
- Trading in the securities of these companies is suspended until the relevant accounts are submitted.
- The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the market will be notified within twenty-four (24) hours of the suspension.
The suspension will be lifted upon the submission of the required Audited Financial Statements.
