Tanker explosion in Jos kills 13 people, destroys shops
The Plateau State Police Command has revealed that there was a tanker explosion in Plateau State. This incident occurred around Bauchi Road junction.
The explosion reportedly killed 13 people and destroyed many shops numbering 28.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Alfred Alabo, was the one who revealed this in a statement on Friday.
He said that this tanker had crashed as a result of brake failure. The crash also destroyed other vehicles including 6 tricycles and 2 motorcycles.
Some people were also injured and they are 10 in number. They were rushed to the hospital for medical attention and they are now receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
He said that they have also buried the bodies of the deceased according to Islamic rights.
The incident was indeed a sad one as these lives were claimed.
