Tems gets dragged for her choice of outfit at the Oscars
Popular Nigerian musician, Temilade Openiyi who is known as Tems has been dragged on social media for her choice of outfit in the 2023 Oscars which was held recently.
Tems was one of the nominees at the 95th Academy Awards. The event was held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, in the United States of America.
Tems was called Insensitive for her elaborate outfit which seemed to be obstructing the view of people seated behind her at the Oscars.
Pictures shared from the event showed how her outfit, which was a long flowy white gown with a large head design, blocked the view of others who attended the awards.
Her choice of outfit generated so many comments. Some were in favor of the beautiful attire while some think it was too elaborate and not necessary.
Many of the people who didn't like the outfit felt her stylist could have made the elaborate part of the dress detachable so as to allow those seated behind Tems be able to see the event.
Tems has won a Grammy award just recently and she was also nominated for the Oscars. The nomination was for Best Original Song for the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” which is a sequel to black Panther.
The original song “Lift Me Up” was the song she was nominated for.
Some in support of Tems have mentioned how other celebrities have done worse so Tems didn't do anything wrong.
