Popular Nigerian musician Tems has revealed that she is ready to act in movies and take on roles. She revealed that she would love to act in a movie and also mentioned the kind of character she has in mind to play. According to her, she is already good at acting and would like to take it a step further.

Tems is a multi-talented female Singer in Nigeria. Her music has taken her to the global stage and she is now an international figure. Her full name is Temilade Openiyi. She was born on the 11th of June 1995 in Lagos. She is currently 28 years old. She became popular after featuring on Wizkid’s 2020 hit song titled Essence.

She was speaking in an interview with BBC Capital Xtra London when she revealed her readiness to act in movies. She revealed how interested she is in acting. She stated that the character she wants is someone who is a fun single mum or a mysterious one whom she likened to a Gangster.

In her words "I’m ready to act in movies. Not ready right now, but I’m already good at acting. The first character I would love to play is a single mum. It doesn’t need to be struggling. It could be like a fun single mum or a single mum that has mysteries. A gangster. And my kid doesn't know also because I'm so sweet and good at camouflaging ”

Tems has won series of awards in her career as a singer. Fans are eagerly waiting to see her break out in the movie industry as well. She has won awards like the Grammys, and also 3 BET awards.
She even received an Oscar nomination for ths hit song sung by Rihanna titled 'Lift Me Up' which she co-wrote. This song was on the 2022 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This made her the first Nigerian artist to receive an Oscar nomination.
