Terrorists attack Southern Kaduna, kill 6 people

A recent attack on a Kaduna community has led to the death of 6 people. This attack was launched by some terrorists in the state. The incident occurred on Tuesday night and 6 people were killed reportedly.

This happened in the Takanai community of Atyap Chiefdom in Zango Kataf Local Government Area. These terrorists had launched the attack around 7pm in the evening and the victims they killed included 4 adults and 2 children. The terrorists only fled after the military men came to the village's rescue that evening.

It was the acting Secretary to the District Head of the Community, Mr. Samson Markus who confirmed this incident. They confirmed this to newsmen today, Wednesday the 27th of September, 2023. They revealed that as soon as the terrorists entered the village, they launched the attack and began shooting indiscriminately. They attacked a compound and killed 4 people in this same compound and then the last 2 in another family.

So residents of the village revealed that they had been carrying out their normal activities when they suddenly heard some gunshots. Some assumed that it had been some military personnel until they allegedly saw some fulanis.

Mr Markus also stated while confirming the incident that it was the arrival of the military men who scared off these terrorists. He shared that these men took to their hills and ran away.
He also stated "It’s unfortunate this kind of sad incident continues to happen in our villages when we thought normalcy had returned. We appealed to the government and the military to redouble their efforts and declare war against these terrorists who invaded villages and killed innocent people,”
