It was another weekend mixed with emotions, goals, laughter, happiness for football lovers all over the world, as their teams were involved in full pack actions.
In England, Chelsea, Manchester City, Leicester and Southampton tasted victories, as they advance to the semifinals of the English FA cup.
Chelsea saw off Sheffield United in a match that showed fatigue on the side of Chelsea but still managed a victory, with an own goal by Sheffield's Oliver Norwood and a late Hakim Ziyech fine finish. This ensured Chelsea continues their fine run of form, with seven consecutive clean sheets
Manchester City's victory over Everton on Saturday, means they are through to the semifinals. Late goals from Iikay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne scored a goal each to give the Citizens victory over the Toffees in a fiercely contested battle between the two. With the draw made on Sunday evening, Manchester City draws Chelsea in the next round, to be played on the 17th of April. Man. City, who are looking to achieve a quadruple, is a side every team will want to avoid at this point, with their blazing hot form.
Two goals from Nigerian, Kelechi Iheanacho ensured that they dump Manchester United out of the competition. Iheanacho, who seem to be having the form of his life, intercepted a poor backpass by Fred and round up Dean Henderson to give Leicester City the lead in the 24th minute, before a superb finish by Mason Greenwood in the 38th minute helped United back in the game.
But, Leicester City seems too hot to handle for Man Utd, as Youri Tielemans outside shot put Leicester ahead again before, Senior man Kels, Iheanacho's header helped seal the victory for Leicester City. This victory means Leicester City will be facing Southampton in their first FA cup semifinal in thirty-nine years.
