The Families of the 2 victims killed by NDLEA officers cry out for justice.

The family members of the victims who were killed by some NDLEA officers have cried out for justice in the death of their loved one.
The victims have been identified as Gafaru Yusuf who is 22 years old and Emmanuel Olomowewe.

Some operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had allegedly killed these 2 men. They shot the victims dead and this was around Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State.

These NDLEA operatives had gone to this community on Wednesday to raid some drug hideouts. This was around 9.40pm on Wednesday.

They had begun to shoot indiscriminately and it was then they hit these victims with stray bullets. People had fled for their dear lives when they heard the shooting. The NDLEA was trying to scare the criminals who were making trouble when these victims were also hit.

The elder sister of one of the victims had revealed that her brother had gone to buy food when this incident happened and he was killed.
She revealed how her brother would usually go to assist their father at work but had not gone that Wednesday.
They had suddenly gotten news that their brother had been hit by bullets and was killed.
She alongside other family members have demanded justice for their loved one.

A witness in the area revealed that the stray bullets hit Yusuf on his head and hit Olomowewe’s chest.
He revealed that these two men had died on the spot.

Many residents expressed their anger at the situation. They were saddened by this incident and questioned why these operatives would shoot the way they did in a residential area.

The residents revealed that these operatives were about 50 in number and were all armed. They had raided the hideout and seized many drugs.
Some other residents revealed that they had heard that three people were killed but they can only confirm 2 people.

Femi Babafemi who is the spokesperson for the NDLEA, revealed that these operatives had gone to raid a drug den and arrest a drug lord behind the operations.
He says they were able to make the arrest but their operatives were attacked and they had to defend themselves.
