During an interview session with the hosts of Beat FM 99.9, singer Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy disclosed how money could easily change a person's school of thought. He recounted how he used to vow not to do certain things when he was a struggling artist. However, that changed immediately after he made his first million since it came with a change of mentality. He said, "Sometimes you might think you are one person then 50 million naira will enter your account and you'll realize that you're another kind of person."

Fireboy is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter signed to the YBNL record label. He made his debut in 2019 with a studio album titled Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps. The 27-year-old was born on the 5th of February, 1996 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He was a member of a church choir for most of his life and started working towards becoming an Afrobeats singer when he was studying at the Obafemi Awolowo University. Fireboy officially began his music career in 2012 and has continued to evolve ever since. He is the mastermind behind songs like Peru, Yawa, Bandana, What If I Say, Playboy, etc.
