David Bwala, the former aide of Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has taken to social media urging Nigerians to stop blaming President Tinubu for food inflation. He added that food inflation is a global challenge and citizens across the globe are feeling the effect. He said even UK and US citizens are seeking ways to impeach their presidents over the rising cost of living.

To buttress his point, Bwala shared the picture of the bottle of palm oil he purchased for £20 in the UK which is equivalent to N38,000 in Nigeria. He added how a simple haircut costs as high as N45,000 abroad compared to the amount barbers charge in Nigeria. Therefore, Nigerians should take it easy on President Tinubu because he is working hard to solve the economic problems.

He proceeded to say that President Tinubu's opponents could have done worse if they were sworn in as Presidents. "There is no perfect President or perfect democracy. Let nobody fool you. Forget the noise, your presidential candidate could have done worse. President Tinubu is working hard to find solutions to our problems created over decades of mal-administration. Let us have faith in our country and our leaders and offer solutions instead of insults."
