There's no fake Malta Guinness in the market, food critic Opeyemi Famakin educates Nigerians
The surge in the rate of fake drinks has gotten Nigerians skeptical about every consumable in the country. Many are petrified to purchase their favorite drinks in the stores and market after NAFDAC has busted over 200 factories in different areas of the country. There has been a rumor that the fake Malta Guinness is also in circulation and many have been advised on how to identify them.
However, a popular food critic identified as Opeyemi Famakin has taken it upon himself to educate Nigerians about the fake Malta Guinness rumor. He said that he conducted research to confirm the circulating rumor regarding Malta Guinness and discovered tmit was untrue. Famakin said he asked a few of his friends working at the Malta Guinness company about the different designs that are in the market.
It was made known to him that the pictures of the alleged fake Malta Guinness were the old design of Malta Guinness before the company rebranded. Hence, the Malta Guinness has no counterfeit yet and Nigerians shouldn't be bothered about the pictures circulating online. Despite all Famakin said, netizens in the comment section refused to believe him and assumed that Famakin was paid but the Malta Guinness company for damage control.
