The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, has said now is not the right time for the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) to hold a protest.

The nationwide protest led by the NLC commenced on Monday, 27th February 2024 across all states. Workers stormed the streets this morning to protest the Federal government's failure to meet their demands since October 2023 and the current economic hardship.

However, the Minister of Information has criticized the movement saying it is unnecessary because most of their demands have been met. He urged the affiliates of the NLC, including the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to convince the NLC to reconsider the government and stop the protests.
