Three hospitals sealed in Anambra for operating with fake licenses
Three hospitals have been sealed in Anambra State for operating with fake licenses.
It was the Anambra State Ministry of Health who sealed these three hospitals. They were found to be operating with fake licenses and some unqualified/quack health workers.
Dr Chukwulobelu Ugochukwu who is the Head of Medical Services Department in the ministry of health was the one who leads the team to these hospitals.
The hospitals are located in Alor in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
This happened on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
He warned people against using such facilities that haven't even been approved. He advised them to visit the government General hospital instead.
He said they have sanctioned these hospitals for these offenses. They penalized them for employing unqualified staff as medics.
He said these hospitals were shut by the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Team and this was for operating without a license, and the unqualified staff.
They also noted the place to be an unhygienic environment according to Health management.
He told the residents to report any facility that is suspected to be like this so as to save the lives of people.
