On their visit to the Presidential Villa Abuja, former Governor of Delta State, Nyesom Wike; present Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; and the former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori; disclosed their support for President Tinubu's fuel subsidy removal.

These three members of the People's Democratic Party visited the presidential villa on Friday, intending to assure President Tinubu that his administration started on a good note as well as showing their support.

Subsidy removal has become a trending topic in Nigeria since the May 29th inauguration. In Makinde's words, "We discussed it. It is something that is on top of public discussion right now. We know it is a tough decision for the people, and he needs the support of everybody to see this through.”
