Three thugs shot dead for disrupting the election in Benue State.
Three men who are suspected to be thugs have been shot in Benue State today, March 18. They were reported to have snatched the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, (BVAS) and ballot boxes but didn't succeed.
The soldiers in the area gunned these 3 men down. The incident took place in Gboko Local Government Area, Benue State.
The gubernatorial elections are taking place in Nigeria today March 18 and there seems to be a lot going on in different states and polling units.
These thugs went to the polling units 026 and 004 in Gboko. This attempt was made while the election was going on.
There were eyewitnesses in the area since the elections were still being conducted and one witness said that the military men shot them down.
These 3 men divided the work as one snatched the BVAS while the other 2 took the ballot boxes but their plans failed. Immediately they were shot dead.
We learn that all efforts to get in contact with DSP Catherine Anene who is the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, have proved abortive because her number isn't going through.
