Toni Kroos has seemingly stirred up optimism in Real Madrid fans regarding the arrival of Kylian Mbappe after the midfielder shared a story to his Instagram account.
Kroos shared a video where he was seen at a soccer camp at his academy which is based in Cologne, Germany.
The image uploaded to his story showed a child wearing a white shirt, possibly that of Real Madrid, with the number 7 imprinted on it and Kylian Mbappe's name.
Mbappe, who has been handed an ultimatum by the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khalaifi for him to decide over his future, is currently enjoying the off-season in Cameroon.
The ultimatum handed to Kylian Mbappe by Paris Saint Germain has a deadline slated for the 31st of July, 2023.
Kylian Mbappe has to extend his deal with the Parisians or he will be officially put up for a potential sale.
It has been reported that Fiorentino Perez expects Paris Saint Germain to peg their asking price for the Frenchman at about €200 million.
Anyway, amidst the happenings ongoing, Toni Kroos has ignited belief in Madrid's supporters that the 24-year-old might be coming to the Spanish capital with the post he shared on Instagram.
Reports from L'Equipe indicate that there has been a verbal agreement with Kylian Mbappe that he will exit Paris in 2024, if he decides that he wants out of PSG.
However, Nasser Al-Khalaifi has stated boastfully that he will not let go of his priced asset for free.
He said: “We want him to stay, but we cannot lose the best player in the world for free.
“That would be unbecoming of him, who is a great guy: to do so would weaken us.”
Paris Saint Germain recently announced the appointment of Luis Enrique as manager on a two-year deal and the Spaniard will be looking to produce magic with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
PSG have also announced the arrival of four players this summer as they look to strengthen the side ahead of a competitive season ahead.
The Ligue 1 champions have signed Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte and Lee Kang-In, with more additions still expected to be made.
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe's recent utterances has apparently angered his teammates and they feel he has been disrespectful to the club.
In an award ceremony organized by France Football, Mbappe claimed that playing at Paris Saint Germain hampers his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or.
The Frenchman feels his performances keep getting downplayed because he plays in the Ligue 1.
It has been reported that the PSG dressing room reacted negatively to these comments as they feel it was an insult to the club.
Six players have reportedly filed their complaints with the management of the club, including two of the Parisians latest acquisitions.
Nasser Al-Khalaifi has also been reported to have been angered by these statements and has questioned why the 24-year-old hasn't left the club despite such beliefs.
Kylian Mbappe has sounded it out loud that he wants to see out his contract with the club and leave on a free, a decision that PSG do not want to accept.
It is unknown where the Mbappe-Paris Saint Germain saga will end up but Real Madrid appear to be waiting in the corner to welcome him to the Spanish capital.
