The draw for the 2023/34 Champions League has been confirmed with rollercoaster matchups lined up for football enthusiasts.

The most striking of all the pairings is a rematch of the 2022/23 semifinal between 14-time European conquerors Real Madrid and defending champions Manchester City, who won the trophy for the first time in the club's history as a vignette of their treble-winning campaign.

For Real Madrid, it will be a call for revenge. For Manchester City, the cracker of a fixture will be a litmus test to their march to overcome Europe and retain their dominance.

Pep Guardiola has taken the Manchester outfit on a march to dominate Europe and coming on against the Real Madrid Bermuda Triangle will be the surest test.

While Manchester City are miles away from the giant LaLiga outfit on the European scene, it would be concluded that the seat of power in European football has changed hands should the Premier League giants knock out Real Madrid in their second consecutive Champions League campaign.

Hence, the die is cast with both sides set to renew rivalries in the history-making Champions League cracker.

Another interesting fixture to watch out for is the Arsenal Vs Bayern Munich match. Bayern Munich have been Arsenal's nightmare, having knocked out the London club in the knockout stages of the competition three times in all their last three meetings.

However, the tides have changed with Mikel Arteta more battle-ready to take on any European opponent this season. The Gunners proved that mettle to fight in their history-making knockout win over FC Porto, and it happened to be Mikel Arteta's first Champions League as Arsenal manager.

With Bayern Munich teetering on the brink of a trophyless campaign this season, the Champions League is their last point of hope. Thomas Tuchel will apparently mobilize all at his disposal to have the job done.

In other fixtures, PSG will take on Barcelona in another cracker while Atletico Madrid prepare to wage battle with Borussia Dortmund.

The first leg of the quarterfinal fixtures will be played on April 9 and 10 while the second leg will be played on May 2 and 9.
