The new generation is making a powerful impact in football, with multiple talented young players breaking forth into the top clubs in the world.

Forest Green Rovers coach Troy Deeney has identified six exceptional teenage footballers who are captivating the world of football with their talents in the Premier League.

With a wealth of professional experience, including 584 appearances and 165 in the Premier League, we can say Deeney is well-positioned to spot emerging talents.

The Birmingham City legendary forward has highlighted six under-23 Premier League players to keep an eye on in 2024, as well as one promising player from the Championship.

Below are under 23 promising young footballers fans should watch out for in the year 2024:

1. Jobe Bellingham; Sunderland midfielder (18 years)

While Jude Bellingham is tearing it up with Real Madrid, his younger brother Jobe is proving why people say they share many of the same traits on the field.

Jobe, who is two years younger than Jude, possesses similar assets and has been praised for his eagerness to learn.

His physique, ball control, strength, and swagger have caught the attention of coaches, who have noted his willingness to learn as his greatest attribute.

Since signing from Birmingham last summer, Jobe has mostly appeared in an advanced midfield role.

It is expected that Sunderland will make a significant profit on the bargain £1.5m they paid for him, as it is only a matter of time before a big club comes in and snaps him up.

2. Michael Olise; Crystal Palace winger (22 years)

The England-born winger's explosive style, tight control, and ability to score goals are amazing.

Arsene Wenger once praised him as one of the top young talents right now, which speaks volumes.

Unfortunately, Olise has been plagued by injuries, limiting his playing time this season, but he has still managed to score five goals and provide one assist in nine games, which is impressive.

3. Cole Palmer; Chelsea striker (21 years)

Troy Deeney regards the Chelsea star as one of the top players in England currently. Troy said: "This guy is not only one of the top players in England right now, but I would go as far as to say he is one of the best in the world. He is just that talented."

Many people thought he made a mistake leaving his hometown club, Manchester City, in the summer for a shocking £42.5 million transfer after achieving so much success at such a young age.

However, he has proven to be worth every penny of his hefty price tag and doesn't seem phased at all.

Troy recounts he's confident Cole Palmer will have another incredible year playing for Chelsea, especially with the Euros coming up.

4. Levi Colwill; Chelsea centre-back (20 years)

Colwill's strength and speed set the England star apart from others in his position.

His talent has been showcased with top performances for England's Young Lions during the Under-21 Euros, and he seamlessly returned to Chelsea after a loan spell at Brighton.

It is believed that he has the potential to become one of the best center-backs in the Premier League.

Troy believes both Chelsea and England are fortunate to have such a promising young player in their ranks.

5. Rasmus Hojlund; Manchester United striker (20 years)

He may not be loved by all football enthusiasts, and he may be having difficulty scoring in the struggling United team at the moment, but he is a player to keep an eye on this year according to Deeney.

He is quick, agile, and possesses strong finishing abilities when provided with the right service, something that has been missing from his United colleagues thus far.

Soon, the entire world will be eagerly watching him, not just for this year, but for many years to come.

6. Harvey Elliott; Liverpool midfielder (20 years)

Elliott has shown significant improvement under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.

The England youngster consistently delivers strong performances in both the Premier League and European competitions, whether as a substitute or in the starting lineup and has a keen eye for goal.

He has captained the England U21s and is poised for a call-up to the senior national team shortly.

With continued development, he has the potential to become a valuable asset for Liverpool, a team already filled with talented attackers, including the likes of Mohamed Salah.

7. Kobbie Mainoo; Manchester United midfielder (18 years)

The England teenager has been the standout player in a lackluster season for the Red Devils.

Deeney confessed that he'd been observing the young star before the season commenced, he said: "I have been keeping a close eye on him since pre-season."

Despite being sidelined with an injury, Mainoo has made a strong comeback and has impressed United fans with his potential.

While Manchester United's future under Erik Ten Hag may be uncertain, there is no doubt that Mainoo enhances the team's performance when he is on the field.
