Truck crushes policeman to death in Ogun state
A truck has crushed a policeman to death in Ogun state just recently.
This truck which belongs to Dangote Cement factory crushed a policeman to death in Ogun state. This incident happened on Tuesday night.
Other than the man who was killed, some other were injured in this accident
The accident happened around Saiten Petrol Station, along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun state.
It was the spokesperson of the state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who confirmed the incident on Wednesday.
Florence Okpe who is the spokesperson for the command released a statement.
She said that a total of nine vehicles were involved in the crash.
There was the Dangote truck, a tipper, a yellow bus, an armored tank, a Toyota Rav4 and three motorcycles who were involved.
She also revealed that 8 people were involved in the accident. There were 7 males and 1 female
4 males and 1 female were injured, 1 person died while 2 were not hurt.
They blamed the accident to be caused by overspending on the part of the truck who lost control and crashed into another vehicle.
She revealed that the truck had later plunged into the river.
Due to the crash, the Toyota had burst into flames but they were able to quench it with the fure extinguisher.
They then took the injured victims to the General Hospital in Ota for medical treatment.
One of these people was identified as a policeman. This man was on duty and got injured. He was also taken to the hospital but sadly, he died while in the hospital
