Twin sisters butcher brother to death
A set of twins in Calabar have been arrested by the police for killing their brother recently. These sisters butchered their brother to death using machetes.
It was their elder brother who they killed and this was because he had sold their late father’s land and refused to share the proceeds with them. The land which cause this dispute was located Ikot Nakanda, in Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
These ladies have been identified as Ikwo Effiong and Idak Effiong.
They were angry because their brother didn't give them a share of the money he got from selling the land. He also didn't give the other members of the family any proceeds of the land.
The twins had ambushed him when they lured their elder brother out of the house. He was lured to a lonely place and then attacked.
The twins said he had to pay for what he did with his life. They had pleaded with him prior to this to share the money with them and when he refused, they killed him.
The man was found with several machete cuts on his head and arms and the twins had left him to bleed to death.
It was the public Relations Officer of the Cross River Police Command, Ms Irene Ugbo who revealed that the sisters have been arrested and taken into custody.
