Two men arrested in Ekitu state for stealing fuel from government generator
Two men in Ekitu state have been arrested recently for stealing fuel from the government generator.
These two suspects have be identified as Danjuma and Idowu.
Some Operatives of Rapid Response Squad, in the Ekiti State Police Command, were the ones who made the arrest.
These men were guilty of siphoning diesel from the generating plants that are being used to power street lights in the city, Ado Ekiti
Sunday Abutu who is the Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that these two men have been arrested. They were arrested on Wednesday.
They were arrested while they were trying to escape with a 25 litre gallon that contained diesel that they suspected was siphoned from the generating set.
During the interrogation, these men confessed to carrying out this act.
They also confessed that they have been selling the stolen diesel to some people in the state who didn't suspect a thing
The spokesperson of the poolce has said that they will be arraigned in court at the right time.
He has also advised the people of the state to be very careful of such and report suspicious actions
