Uche Maduwagwu claims he was offered N3million to frame Mohbad’s Wife
Nigerian actor, Uche Maduwagwu, has revaled that he was offered a sum of N3million to frame Mohbad’s Wife. He disclosed this recently on social media saying they offered him this amount of money because they wanted him to frame the Omowunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian musician, Mohbad.
Recall Mohbad who was a well known Nigerian rapper and singer passed away some weeks ago. He died on the 12th of September, 2023 in a controversial way which has caused a stir among Nigerians who want justice for his death.
Uche, then claimed via his social media that he was offered money to frame his wife. He claimed that 3 days after the singer died, some peopoe had reached out to him with this money so he can defame Omowunmi. He revealed that these had included the demand for a DNA test from her regarding her 5 month old son who is also Mohbad’s son.
He revealed that he had been tempted to take the money especially because of the serious economic hardship Nigerians are facing but he decided not to do so.
He stated “My people, I just have to say this right now. See, I was offered N3 million in Lekki, exactly on the 15th of September. The person who approached me said I should come to social media and twist the story. That I should say it was Mohbad’s wife that’s involved in this case, and she is the number one suspect. They asked me to say she should go and do a DNA test for her child, that he isn’t Mohbad’s. I said to myself, ‘I’m not Mohbad’s family member, I’m not his father; I’m not even his best friend. My people, I was tempted because I’m hungry, I need money. But I said to myself that I would not do things because no one knows tomorrow"
He revealed that these people haven't only met him but have been going round to meet other people as well. He stated that they have been trying to twist the narrative.
