The shocking news reaching Nigerians was about a Unilag lecturer who raped a 20-year-old female student in his office. The lecturer whose name is Dr. Kadiri Akeem Babalola raped this young lady after she was at his office to resolve an issue she had with her result. The said student reported the case to the Inclusive Social Welfare and Empowerment Foundation and narrated how it happened. It was reported that Dr. Kadiri forced himself on her instead of tending to the issues she had.
The unfortunate incident happened on the 16th of August 2023. Now, the case has been reported to the Police, and the Vice Chancellor of Unilag was given seven days to produce Dr. Kadiri to which she complied. When Dr.Kadiri was questioned, he admitted to raping the female student and those in charge of the case promised to charge him to court in the coming days.
