Victory Gbakara who is the winner of the latest edition of the Nigerian Idol show has shared some insight into his journey of winning Nigerian Idol. He has also revealed that his mother was the one who had discovered his talent.

Victory emerged as the winner of the reality TV show which is a music competition just recently. He and Precious Mac were the top 2 finalists after Quest was evicted.

He recently shared some highlights about the competition in an interview with TOFARATI IGE.

Victory shared how coming to the show felt so unreal. He says he woke up the morning after he won and still didn't understand what was happening because it also felt unreal.
He appreciated Nigerians for voting for him in the show.

He also shared how he plans to stay original saying his originality is anchored on his views and faith. He shared that he is a Christian who is committed towards spreading the name and love of Jesus Christ.

He shared some lessons he learnt and they include how a person can do anything to project his or her craft, as long as it is not sin or against your faith or illegal.

He says he also learnt that the biggest resource on earth is not money, but people. He says there's a need to have good people around and these are those who will elevate one and replenish one’s strength.
He says he couldn't have gotten to this point without good people.

He says the completion was tasking as they were required to do various things but someone on the show had to have had strong motivation, discipline and the right mindset to do such.

He was then asked how and when he discovered his singing talent he shared that the honour goes to his mother, who is Bishop (Dr) Juliet Gbakara.

He revealed that she had put him in the choir when he was 9 years old. He says at that age, he actually couldn't sing but she put him there so he won't be running around the church during sermons and other important activities.

He says that his mother must take the credit for discovering his talent.
