A somewhat confused Shallipopi's fans couldn't contain his curiosity after seeing an old arrest picture of the singer. The fan whose X handle is GiDi asks, "Wait, is this Shallipopi?" This question triggered hilarious responses from netizens who concluded that GiDi asked a question with an obvious answer.

Of course, that is Shallipopi. Before he became famous, he was arrested by the men of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Command, for cybercrime, sometime in March 2023. The singer became famous shortly after the news of his arrest went viral and released a song titled Ex-Convict. It was reported that Shallipopi had gone for a show in Kaduna when he was arrested by the EFCC.

Netizens who were aware of the backstory behind Shallipopi's arrest asked GiDi to stop bringing up an event that happened in the past because the singer is out now. Other responses were hilarious as they mocked the X user, GiDi, for asking a ridiculous question.
