The Governor of Rivers State Simi Fubara was publicly harrassed on his way to the State House of Assembly. It was reported that some thugs splashed water and shot tear gas on him to publicly embarrass him and his convoy. This was after reports from the State House of Assembly stated that the Governor may be impeached today, the 30th of October.
People have complained about the utmost disrespect that the Governor had to face. Some called it inhumane claiming the Rivers State Governor didn't deserve to be embarrassed in such a manner, while others were quite content about the incident. That's because several allegations are flying across the media about how Governor Simi Fubara deployed thugs to rig the elections so he could win.

Simi Fubara was inaugurated as the Governor of Rivers State on the 29th of May, 2023. He was formerly an accountant-general of Rivers State under Governor Wike's administration between 2020 to 2022. He was born on the 28th of January, 1975.
