The Mavins signee who just released his debut album Trench to Triumph spoke on how he went from being an ordinary boy trying to survive in Lagos to being a successful artist.

In a recent interview with Savant, he revealed how he and his family were chased out of the house by the landlord because they were unable to afford to pay rent.

He described this event as one of the depressing moments of his life because his parents couldn't pay the money even though it was a small amount of money.

"What happened is our church member was living in the house before. She wanted to move out of her own house and we were looking for a house. She told us, 'Okay. You guys can move into the house. Don't worry'. We no know say she dey owe rent.

We didn't know. We get deadline. My dad already signed an agreement with the landlord. The landlord was going crazy like, 'You guys should get out of my house'. We signed an agreement with the OPC saying, 'on so and so day, we gats move'.

So five days before, we moved. We got to the house. It was still a 'Face Me I Face You' and then I think one of the tenants called the landlord like, 'Yo! Somebody just moved into your house.'. The landlord came, threw our things out and we started begging.

I was so fucking depressed. I was so fucking down, looking at my mom and dad being down in front of a normal man."
